Software and Games

Unlike other sweepstakes online casinos that have teamed up with top providers like BGaming and Booming, Golden Hearts Games produces nearly all their games in-house but has also added a few titles from Clawbuster, ELA Games, Evoplay, Expanse, Golden Hearts Games, Habanero, 3 Oaks, Playzia, Playson, Reel Riot, Ruby Play, Spinmatic. I am also a bit skeptical of in-house games due to the lack of testing and often poor graphics and gameplay but Golden Hearts Games has done a good job creating some fun titles.

In total, there are 800 titles to choose from, including online bingo games, slots, poker, blackjack, scratchcards, and video poker. The games aren’t categorized and are all available from the home screen as soon as you log in. It doesn’t matter that they aren’t categorized because there aren’t many to choose from!

Golden Hearts Games Bingo

Golden Hearts Games started as a bingo platform, and that is still where their passion lies. They currently run bingo 24/7, and there are three bingo halls, including Juicy Jackpot Bingo, Anytime Bingo, and Old School Video Bingo. The games run every few minutes, and you can win large amounts of SC from a single bingo card.

Online Slots

Don’t recognize any of the slots at Golden Hearts Games? Neither did I! That’s because almost all are in-house slot games with a couple of NetGame titles mixed in. There are 90+ to choose from, including fun games like Rinaldinho Spins, RockDog, and Fishing Reels Unlocked.

When playing Golden Hearts Games online slots, you can stake 5 SC to 50 SC per spin. In Frantic Fish, you could win up to 1,250 SC, and there are also three different jackpots available. Something I didn’t like was you can’t find the RTPs for any slots at Golden Hearts Games. Instead, your odds of winning are listed, which for most games is 2:5.

Casino Games

Apart from bingo and slots, you can also play blackjack, scratchcards, video poker, and poker at Golden Hearts Games. You can play up to 50 SC on scratchcards and win up to 1,250,000 SC. Blackjack has limits ranging from 5 SC up to 50 SC and is my favorite game at Golden Hearts Games. If you enjoy taking on the dealer and want a high RTP, then that’s the one for you.

How Golden Hearts Works

Even though the Michigan Attorney General disagreed, Golden Hearts Games isn’t an online casino. Instead, they are a sweepstakes casino. According to sweepstakes regulations, gaming sites like Golden Hearts Games can offer games of chance with cash prizes as long as games are free to play, known as the no purchase necessary requirement.

So the way Golden Hearts Games operates is they use two different virtual currencies, gold coins and sweeps coins. You receive both gold coins and sweeps coins for free via different promotions like sign up and daily login. However, you can also purchase gold coins and receive a complimentary gift of sweeps coins. This operating model ensures that Golden Hearts Games doesn’t violate the no purchase necessary rule.

The key thing to remember is gold coins have no monetary value, and you can’t use them to win real money prizes. However, each sweeps coin at Golden Hearts Games is worth $1 and can be redeemed for a cash prize via paper check, gift card, online bank transfer, or PayPal.

Playing using sweeps coins is considered promotional play, which means that all SC come with a 1x playthrough requirement. This must be completed before you can redeem them for a prize. Golden Hearts Games always provides sufficient play so that you can enjoy their casino games without ever making a purchase.

Golden Hearts Games Bonuses and Promotions

Getting free SC at Golden Hearts Games was actually pretty easy. These are the current offers they have:

No Deposit Bonus

When I joined Golden Hearts Games, I automatically received 250,000 gold coins and 2.5 sweeps coins. I didn’t need to verify my account to receive this bonus, but I did need to verify my phone number during the registration.

First Purchase Bonus

When you use the promo code: FREECOINS and spend $10, you will get $25 worth of free play. Alternatively, when you make your first purchase at Golden Hearts Games, you will receive 25% extra sweeps coins. How to Get Free SC Coins

I was happy to see Golden Hearts Games keeping players full with a steady supply of free SC coins. These are the promos I claimed:

• Mail-in Bonus – Handwrite on a 3×5 inch card your first & last name, e-mail address, phone number, and complete mailing address, place it in a stamped envelope and send it off to Golden Hearts Games. You will then receive a redemption code, enter the code, and get 6 SC. Go to https://www.goldenheartsgames.com/amoe/amoe-start to see all of the steps. From my experience, they took about a week to receive my letter and send the redemption code.
• Social Media Giveaways – Almost monthly, Golden Hearts Games is giving away free sweeps coins via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. All of the contests are 100% free to enter. It’s a numbers game, so try to enter as many as possible.
• Refer a Friend – Get your friend to sign up via your affiliate link, and after they make their first purchase, you will receive 10 SC. I already invited three of my colleagues and received 30 SC.
• RevU – Perform different tasks to earn sweeps coins. There are 50+ available tasks, all with different prizes. I love this program because you can purchase things that you would anyway and get juicy sweeps coin rewards.
• Daily Bonus – Spin the wheel every 24 hours and win potentially thousands of free SC.

You can redeem your SC for cash prizes via paper check, gift card, PayPal, and bank transfer. Golden Hearts Games offers a variety of free, fast, and secure purchase and redemption methods.

Purchasing Gold Coins

You can purchase gold coins at Golden Hearts Games via credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. There are no fees and purchases are credited instantly. Here are the current gold coin packages at Golden Hearts Games:

Redeeming Cash Prizes

At Golden Hearts Games, you can redeem cash prizes via paper check, gift card, PayPal, and bank transfer. Prior to redeeming your SC, you need to complete the 1x playthrough requirement. The minimum redemption is 100 SC, which comes out to $100. In my experience, PayPal and gift cards are the fastest methods, taking just 2 business days, while bank transfers take up to 5 days, and paper checks take up to 10 days.

Is Golden Hearts Games Legit?

Golden Hearts Games, in my estimation, is legit as they give enough free play to satisfy the no-purchase necessary requirement and verify the identity of all players. However, they operate in more states than the average sweepstakes casinos, showing they aren’t afraid to push the envelope when it comes to regulations.

They are owned and operated by a Boston, MA-based company, Golden Hearts Games Inc., and you can easily find information about the company’s founders, Steven Kane and Jeremy Shea. When Golden Hearts Games was a site with a charity element, it donated millions to charities. While this aspect of the site is no longer available, it is the foundation that created trust in Golden Hearts Games.

Despite it being legit, they did get into a dispute with the Michigan Attorney General, who came to the conclusion in September 2023 after a two-year investigation that Golden Hearts Games was offering illegal gambling in the state. As Golden Hearts Games was a legit sweepstakes casino and appeared to be following all of the regulations, this prompted all other sweepstakes casinos to leave Michigan. So, in my opinion, I don’t think Golden Hearts Games is doing anything that other sweeps gaming sites aren’t.

Where Is Golden Hearts Games Legal?

Golden Hearts Games social casino is legal in 39 US states. The only states they don’t operate in is California, Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, and Washington. To play at Golden Hearts Games, you must be 18 + in virtually all states except Nebraska and Alabama, where you must be 19 + and Mississippi or Puerto Rico, where you must be 21 +.

Mobile Gameplay

Golden Heart Games doesn’t have an app and currently doesn’t have any plans to release one. But that won’t impact your mobile gaming experience because they actually have one of the better mobile sites I have come across. The bluey purple background combined with the white is super aesthetic and one bonus of not having many online casino games is you don’t have to spend long scrolling through titles until you find your game of choice.

You can tell Golden Hearts Games has put a lot of thought into their mobile site. As soon as you log in, you can start playing right away. At the top of your screen, you can see your gold and sweeps coin balance switch between the two modes.

The hamburger icon at the top of your screen allows you to quickly purchase gold coins, redeem or contact support. There is an ‘i’ icon that provides you with lots of resources, including how to claim free sweeps coins and how Golden Hearts Games works.

Security and Responsible Gambling

Golden Hearts Games takes responsible gaming seriously. It partners up with Birches Health to help players by offering top support and resources to negate problematic gameplay. The designated responsible gaming page offers information, a self-assessment, and links to valuable resources. However, they also don’t offer common safety tools like purchase limits and self-exclusion, which are commonplace at other sweepstakes casinos. It seems like Golden Hearts Games is still trying to completely distance itself from gambling, but that could get them in further trouble with the FTC.

Golden Hearts Games website is well-designed and fully encrypted, so you shouldn’t worry about entering your payment details. However, as the site is unlicensed, I would not keep a large amount of SC on the platform. You should be regularly redeeming once your balance gets above the minimum.

In terms of satisfying the no purchase necessary agreement, I think Golden Hearts Games offers enough free play. They have a no deposit bonus, daily spin the wheel, mail-in promo, and other bonuses that allow you to regularly claim free sweeps coins.

Customer Support

Unfortunately, you can’t contact Golden Hearts Games via live chat or telephone. However, you can easily submit support tickets, or you can send them an email at support@goldenheartgames.com.

I sent a support ticket and an email to Golden Hearts Games customer support. They replied to my support ticket after 14 hours and the email after 6 hours. In both cases, they were polite and went through and answered all of my questions. I think I’d stick to email as they seem to answer faster. I just hope you don’t have any complex issues, as going back and forth over email can take forever!

Tips for Playing at Golden Hearts Games

In my opinion, the easiest way to get SC at Golden Hearts Games is to take advantage of the AMOE bonus. For every handwritten letter you send in, you will get 6 sweeps coins worth $6. This is a better-than-average bonus, as most sweepstakes sites only offer you $2-$5. You can claim this bonus an unlimited number of times, and I know players who are sending in 20+ letters per day!

After sending in a bunch of letters, I would then fire up Golden Hearts Games only blackjack game. If you aren’t familiar with blackjack, pull up a free blackjack calculator. When you enter your cards and the dealer’s, it will instantly tell you the optimal decision. When playing the perfect blackjack strategy, the game’s RTP is 99.5%!

The goal when playing blackjack at Golden Hearts Games is not to actually win additional SC, it’s just to complete the 1x playthrough requirement and keep as many coins as possible that you received from the different bonuses. Then, once you have at least 100, redeem them for a cash prize.

Areas Golden Hearts Games Could Improve

Golden Hearts Games has a very small game library. They only have 100 games and 90+ slots. It didn’t take me long until I had played everything Golden Hearts casino had to offer. There is no excuse why they have so few games when competitors like WOW Vegas and McLuck have well over 1,000 games.

I was also disappointed by the lack of table games, as they only had one poker and one blackjack game. As a keen baccarat player, this lowered the site’s ranking in my eyes by quite a bit. I mean, how hard is it to add a few more table games?

It’s a shame that Golden Hearts Games stopped working it’s charity aspect as this is what truly set it apart from other sweepstakes. As it stands now, it’s just like every other sweepstakes site but with mediocre offerings when it comes to games.

Golden Hearts Games Review Summary

In my opinion, Golden Hearts Games is a legit sweepstakes casino that offers legal cash prizes in 39 US states except for California, Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, and Washington. They have a beautiful mobile-optimized site and make it easy to pick up free coins thanks to their no-deposit offer, AMOE bonus, social media giveaways, and RevU deal. Golden Hearts Games has 100+ games, including online bingo, slots, blackjack, scratchcard, and video poker. I would like them to add a bunch of new games to take the gaming site to the next level.

Golden Hearts Games Sister Casinos

Golden Hearts Games Inc. doesn’t operate any other sweepstakes casinos. However, the most similar site to Golden Hearts casino is Pulsz Bingo, which also focuses on round-the-clock bingo action and has 5 halls to choose from. Pulsz Bingo also has a much better selection of slots, including new releases from the likes of Relax Gaming.
