Chumba

Chumba Casino Bonus Codes

What I love about this operator is that it doesn’t care about bonus codes. Simply use the link to claim the free bonus and begin playing once you create your account. For starters, Chumba serves its patrons with a no purchase bonus of 2,000,000 gold coins and two free sweeps coins.

After you’ve used all the free coins to explore more than 250 games of chance, you can utilize an exclusive first-purchase bonus to receive 10,000,000 GCs and 30 FREE SCs for only $10. This is no less than a $20 discount and you receive free sweeps coins. The latter is the sweepstake casino coins for playing in promotional mode, where you can win cash prizes.

Thanks to the legality of the social and sweepstakes model, you can redeem your sweeps coins for cash prizes after clearing the play-through requirement. Conversely, you can keep the winnings in your account to continue playing in promotional mode with a chance to win a large cash prize.

Software and Games

Chumba’s commendable catalog of games is available to play with gold coins or sweeps coins, so that you can play casually or for a chance to win cash prizes.

Switching between games is a piece of cake as the website is made to work seamlessly on your phone or PC. With easy navigation in mind, you simply swipe or click to choose from the following categories: Slots, Jackpot, Table Games, Bingo, Instant Wins and Scratchcards.

While in the lobby, the games at the top of the list give you the idea which are hot or in demand. It can happen that some games get moved up or down the grid, depending on their popularity, but you can easily browse the entire catalog by scrolling down.

I enjoyed playing slot games from companies that are famous for their explosive features, payouts and bonuses. Some of the outstanding providers on Chumba are NetEnt, Relax Gaming and Red Tiger. On the other hand, Chumba’s honchos have also acquired amazing slots from less popular brands that are respectable and unique nevertheless. Another big plus for this operator.

Chumba Online Slots

Chumba’s in-house games don’t fall behind in quality compared to the rest. Stampede Fury, Dancing Gold and Stallion Grand are some of the prime examples. You can explore these if you want to test your progressive jackpot fortunes, but if you want to go for pure online slots madness, the following are on the top of my list:

• Twin Spin Megaways (NetEnt)
• Buffalo Blitz II (Playtech Origins)
• Epic Ape (Playtech)
• Big Bucks Bandits (Reel Play)
• Vicky Ventura (Red Tiger)
• Blue Wizard (Rarestone Gaming)

Games like these are available for sweeps coin or gold coin play and embody multiple features and gameplay mechanics. I am talking about Megaways, win-ways, tumbling reels, free spins, cloning wilds, win multipliers and more. Most of the slots on Chumba require only 1000 GCs or 0.10 SCs to play, but there are some that can’t go lower than 5000 GC and 0.50 GC respectively.

Jackpot Slots

One of the most appealing categories of casino slots is represented by about a dozen games with huge prizes. Of course, you can play and win both with gold coins and sweeps coins. The apex is represented by progressive jackpots. Dancing Gold and Stallion Grand are my personal favorites because they have a shared progressive pot which rises over time.

Table and Card Games

It’s hard to believe that Chumba can offer such diverse gameplay even with a small collection of games. You’ll find 12 table games here including Solitaire and Blackjack. Sadly, we didn’t see any roulette or baccarat but you can find roulette in the live social casino section along with live blackjack and live slots.

Bingo

I’ve played several Bingo sessions on each bingo variety available on Chumba:

• 75-ball Bingo
• 90-ball Bingo
• Bingo Blast (3-4x faster)

To my amazement, online bingo destroys the retirement home folks stereotype. In fact, bingo has become cross-generational today thanks to the internet and Chumba’s bingo options are relaxing and simple, with a layer of excitement and real money prizes.

Scratchcards and Instant Wins

Chumba truly covers all bases, even including scratchcards and instant wins into its repertoire. These super simple games can still bring high rewards with some scratchcards having more than 10,000x jackpots. You have over 20 instant win games at your disposal so if you’re looking to take a break from slots and just want something easy, plenty of options await.

Sweepstakes Gaming

US states where real money online casinos are illegal are in the majority. However, social and sweepstakes casinos are legal in many of these states. In case you are wondering how it is possible to play casino style games and redeem cash prizes, the answer is sweepstakes entries. The concept of standard sweepstakes is easily applied to casino games.

When you play with gold and sweeps coins, you are making an entry. Winning a prize is getting drawn at random. This form of play is legal as long as the entries are obtained for free. On the other hand, there are too many exciting games and a finite number of free gold coins for the day.

To enhance my casino experience I purchase gold coins, which often come with free sweepstakes coins. The first coin is used for standard play and free sweeps coins (SCs) are for promotional play, i.e. the kind of entry where you play to win sweeps coins that can be redeemed for cash prizes.

Chumba Casino Bonuses and Promotions

Unlike regular casinos, the Chumba Casino offer lets you play free games with coins that you can get from bonuses and promos. This casino doesn’t fall behind others in its league, but let’s look at the details based on my experience.

No Deposit Bonus

2 million gold coins can go a long way to help you get a sense of which game does what. I used my two free sweeps coins to make multiple plays and watched my SC balance oscillate with each spin. 2 SCs aren’t much, but you will rarely find a better no-deposit offer in the sweeps casino world.

First Purchase Bonus

This bonus comes with an amazing benefit: you get a serious amount of gold coins and free sweeps coins for only $10.00. If you were to purchase the regular package for the same amount, you won’t get the 20 SCs! This is one of the better bonuses out there and it definitely made me enjoy my time on Chumba.

How to Get More Chumba Free SC Coins

Like the other legit sweeps casinos on the US and Canadian markets, Chumba provides more than one way of obtaining sweeps coins for free.

• Daily logins – simply logging in each day puts both kinds of coins in your balance. This is the most straightforward way to build up your coin balance.
• Playing in promotional mode with SCs gives you the chance to win more. Of course, all outcomes are in the hands of Lady Luck, but if you chance upon a big win you’ll have a trove of coins to redeem.
• Social media forms the “Social” element of social and sweepstakes casinos. If you follow Chumba’s FB, Instagram and X you will find regular calls to action for free gold coins and sweeps coins.
• Snail Mail. Yes, mail. Chumba lets you mail-in a request card in exchange for free SCs. There is no limit to how much you can obtain this way, but make sure you fill out the card according to instructions, found in the FAQ.
• Drawings. Sometimes, operators have competitions and drawings that can land a hefty amount of coins in random players’ accounts.

Promo Codes Terms and Requirements

Sweeps casinos have several important T&Cs with regard to bonuses. The most important one is about wagering play, otherwise known as play-through rate. This is the number of times you need to play through your bonus sweep coins before you can withdraw them as cash prizes. The happy detail here is that Chumba sets that requirement to 1x.

Other key terms and conditions include:

• You need to be 21 or older to play;
• Reside in any US state other than Washington, or Michigan, Connecticut, Montana, Nevada, and Delaware. California, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia allows for gold coin play only;
• No deposit and first-purchase bonuses are available to new accounts only;
• Sweep coins from bonuses expire after 60 days;

How to Play at Chumba Casino

We have a quick guide in case you are wondering how to sign up at Chumba Casino. The registration process begins by selecting the bonus claim button on this page. Make sure you enter your true personal information to make clear the KYC process easily when withdrawing cash prizes.

In summary, the signup process requires:

• Selecting the bonus button;
• Pressing the ‘Create an Account’ button;
• Entering your name and email address;
• Verifying your account via email;
• Entering an activation code via SMS;
• Alternative way to sign up is with you Facebook account;

Submitting the form is followed by receiving a six digit code via email and SMS. Without previously verifying this info, I wasn’t able to utilize the full scope of my Chumba Casino bonuses. Chumba allows you to play with gold coins all you want, but winning cash prizes are available only for verified accounts.

Redemption

There are several payment methods that you can use for purchasing and redeeming coins for cash prizes. I used an e-wallet for quicker redemptions, but you can also use credit, debit, online bank account, prepaid cards and even the Chumba prepaid Mastercard.

We are talking about purchases here, but note that this is optional because you can always play free. On the other hand, purchases place large amounts of gold coins and sweep coins in your account. This is advantageous if you prefer playing with a bit of an edge.

Buying a coin package is hassle free and lets you continue playing momentarily. There are no purchasing fees and the minimum purchase for gold coins is $0.50.

This is the full list of redemption options:

• Amex
• MasterCard
• Visa
• Online banking (BoA, Chase, Wells, Citi, etc.)
• PaysafeCard
• Skrill
• Gift Card

Chumba is one of the few social and sweepstakes casinos that has coin packages for everybody – casual and seasoned players are suited as well, as you can see on the table.

Redeeming Cash Prizes

The casino at hand keeps all matters simple when it comes redeeming your prizes. You can redeem as little as 10 sweeps coins to a gift card. The minimum cash prize redemption is 100 sweeps coins, which is a cash prize of $100.00.

Remember that there is a play-through rate of 1x for bonus SCs, so you have to play those winnings one time over before redeeming sweeps coins for cash prizes.

Redemptions are processed within two days, but how long it will take to complete depends on the method. If you use Skrill, your winnings will be redeemed in a few days; gift vouchers require up to two weeks and online banking around one week.

Make sure that your withdrawal method matches the initial payment method. If you made a purchase via Skrill, you can only redeem your prizes to the same account. The only exception are gift vouchers regardless of how you purchased your coin package.

Is Chumba Casino Legit?

VGW is a legal business registered in the US and regulated and licensed by Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).. I’ve read various reviews about Chumba, some good, some not, but this is normal. Slots and cards are games of chance and some people don’t get to win huge prizes.

This doesn’t make Chumba any less legit. On the contrary, all of the game providers are licensed and their games are tested for fairness, the website has SSL security and promotes safe gaming, even though it is a social and sweepstakes casino.

Where is Chumba Legal?

There are a few US states where Chumba is not available to play: Washington, Michigan, Connecticut, Delaware, Montana, and Nevada. California, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia allows for gold coin play only. Residents in all the rest are welcome to share in the fun and claim the Chumba Casino bonuses, as long as their minimum age is 21.

Mobile Gameplay

I tried the official app that you can get from the app store and I went back to the mobile web-browser site to continue playing. As the name suggests, the Chumba Casino mobile app is “Lite”, but the web version is not. I was able to play any game on my phone without any issues, submit cash redemption requests, purchase gold coins and more.

How to Download the Chumba Casino App

Use your iPhone or Android official store app and type the words Chumba Casino. This enables you to download the lite app and the limited number of games on it. No sweeps play is provided here, and only a handful of games.

Security and Responsible Gambling

Playing at Chumba comes with protections and mechanisms that you can use to limit your time or coin expenditure. In addition to the SSL encryption for the transfer of personal details, Chumba offers limiting your gameplay by selecting the Responsible Social Gameplay button in the menu. You can specify purchasing, time and maximum play amount limits from that page.

Customer Support

Unfortunately, Chumba doesn’t have live chat or telephone support. Nevertheless, the company provides a comprehensive FAQ site on Zendesk that does a great job to cover most questions.

I wanted to try to talk to someone so I located the “Submit a request” button on the Zendesk site to send an email. A support agent from Chumba was pretty quick to respond and in detail regarding the verification steps. All in all, I think this system works almost as good as live chat, in case you ever need it.

Tips for Playing at Chumba Casino

This casino is licensed, provides its patrons with a responsible gambling policy, games that are independently tested for fairness, secure website, trusted payment options and other details.

From personal experience, you should utilize the available Chumba casino offers. I used the coins from my first-purchase bonus to try upward of 200 different slots by different providers. My takeaway is that you can stumble upon some really good games. Here is my tip on how to recognize one in about a dozen spins:

• Open the paytable (usually the “i” – for info button)
• Look for available extra features besides free spins
• Getting three hits in ten spins is a positive sign
• Keep playing to discover the outcome of the main bonus feature
• If the game is hot, try playing with sweeps coins

Areas Chumba Casino Could Improve

One of the few cons about Chumba is that it offers very games in total. Most casino players prefer having more options and because there’s a wide variety of different games, no section is that robust. With so many sweepstakes casinos starting out with over 1,000 games, Chumba’s small list of just 250 doesn’t hold a candle to them.

The expansion of their support department and launch of a native app with the same features as the online Chumba Casino would really elevate this brand to its previous spot as the best sweepstake casino in the US.

Review Summary

Virtual Gaming Worlds has two sister sites that are well-known on the sweeps and social casino circuit.

LuckyLand Slots is the second, known for its in-house jackpot slots and Pachinko game.
